Dementia can impact all aspects of an individuals life, this includes those who are part of their life.
Many people living with dementia are supported by a partner, relative or friend who do so out of love and kindness, although they may not perceive their role as a 'care partner' or 'carer'.
It is important to be aware of this crucial role to ensure that the care partner is themselves supported and has access to resources and advice.
Being a care partner can be have ongoing stressors on all aspects of life including emotional wellbeing, finances and social isolation.
Sensus Cognition provides advice and support for care partners as well as people living with dementia.
A range of resources are available from government agencies and charitable organisations both nationally and locally.
